2.4 Information we do NOT collect
We do not collect payment card numbers, bank account numbers, government-issued identification numbers, or health information through the website. Payments are handled through direct bank transfers, cryptocurrency wallets or payment processors, and those providers' own privacy policies apply to that data.
3. How We Use Your Information
- To operate the marketplace: match buyers with publishers, route calls, track call quality, and settle payments.
- To respond to enquiries: reply to your form submission or email with information about the services you asked about.
- To manage accounts: verify your identity as a buyer or publisher, manage your campaign settings, and communicate about your account.
- To review call quality: use call recordings and metadata to resolve disputes and maintain campaign quality standards.
- To improve the website: understand how visitors use the site so we can improve content and performance.
- To comply with legal obligations: respond to lawful requests from regulators, law enforcement, or courts.
We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not use your data for automated decision-making or profiling.
4. Who We Share Your Data With
We share data only in these situations:
- Marketplace counterparties: when a buyer and publisher are matched on a campaign, each party receives the other's business contact information necessary to operate the campaign. Consumer caller data is shared with the buyer receiving the call.
- Service providers: Google (Workspace, Analytics), Cloudflare, and any call-tracking platform we use to operate the marketplace. These providers process data on our behalf under their own privacy policies.
- Legal requirements: if we are required by law, regulation or legal process to disclose your information.
5. Cookies
The site uses the following categories of cookies:
- Essential cookies: WordPress session cookies for logged-in users. Without these, the admin area and any logged-in functionality do not work. These expire when you close your browser or within 48 hours.
- Analytics cookies: Google Analytics cookies (_ga, _gid) that help us understand how visitors use the site. These expire after up to 2 years.
- Cloudflare cookies: Performance and security cookies set by Cloudflare. These are necessary for the CDN to function and typically expire within 24 hours.
We do not use advertising cookies or retargeting pixels on this website.
You can control cookies through your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies may prevent some site functionality from working. Blocking analytics cookies does not affect the site itself.
6. Call Recordings
Call recordings are captured for quality assurance and dispute resolution purposes, and only where the applicable state and federal consent and recording laws permit. Recordings are retained for the duration specified in the campaign agreement, after which they are deleted.
Recordings are accessible only to BuyTheCalls staff, the buyer receiving the call, and the publisher who generated the call. They are not shared with any other party except where required by law.
7. Data Retention
- Form submissions: retained for the duration of the business relationship plus 12 months, then deleted unless required for legal or accounting purposes.
- Call records and metadata: retained for the duration specified in the campaign agreement, typically 90 days after the campaign ends.
- Call recordings: retained as specified in the campaign agreement, then deleted.
- Analytics data: retained according to the retention settings configured in Google Analytics (default: 14 months).
- Website logs: server access logs are retained for up to 90 days for security and troubleshooting.
8. Data Security
We use commercially reasonable measures to protect the data we hold, including HTTPS encryption on the website, access controls on our Google Workspace account, and Cloudflare's security layer. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
